The Challenge

In collaboration with Host Broadcast Services (HBS), the goal was to generate excitement for World Athletics 2025 by repurposing archive footage. The project involved transforming historical moments into fresh, high-energy content for a digital-first audience. By pairing rhythmic edits with a modern touch, the videos connect the legacy of the sport with the anticipation of the upcoming event.

Project Outcome

Content Creation

A series of videos featuring various disciplines and athletes was developed, using a mix of clean cuts and subtle graphic touches to enhance the original footage. The focus remained on a rhythmic flow suitable for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok.

Broadcaster Support

The final assets provided broadcasters with a library of ready-to-use ‘hype’ content. This allowed for consistent audience engagement during the pre-tournament period, building a strong narrative leading up to the event.
